- chenle believes that perfectionism depends on where you are. when he records a song, he follows and trusts the director, but there are some instances when what he suggests works better, or when the director says it's already okay but he's not satisfied yet and wants to do it again.
- chenle said that the older a child gets, the less they listen to their parents. that's what his mom told him when he was 6 or 7 years old, she said he was sweeter when he was little.

- chenle feels that when it comes to making friends, you don't have to change yourself just for your friends. no matter what, you will still have friends. but the most important thing is to learn the good things from your friends and avoid the bad things. it's not that you have to be kind in order to have a friend, but if you meet a kind friend, you'll think, "oh this person is kind, i should learn from their kindness and i want to become a better person because of them."
- kun said that chenle is a very direct person
- chenle believes that you can't pretend to have good manners just for show. you can't just act like you have good manners because it will be very obvious that you're pretending. you have to actually respect a person in order to have good manners towards them. chenle really values this.

- for chenle, if you view him in a certain way because of something he said -even if it's only you who think that way -he will ask the reason why you think this way. because there has to be a reasoning behind it. he believes that there are 2 possible reasons. the first one is that you are correct. the second one is that you misunderstood him. if you misunderstood him, then the two will clear things up. you shouldn't take the criticism to heart, but you shouldn't also be like, "oh i know" or "oh okay" just to get out of the situation. because once you've escaped this situation, you'll meet a similar situation again because this is your friends that said that. but outside of the friend circle, people will always view you in some way so you don't have to think much about it.

- back in school, sometimes his mom would wake him up in the morning, and then he'd wake up and get ready, but then realize that he did all of that in his dream and in reality he was actually still sleeping and was waking up late.
- when the members tease chenle and say things like, "your head is so big!", he would instead admit it and agree with them and go, "my head is big indeed!" so the members don't get satisfied with his reaction and would tease other members who have more / bigger reactions instead.
- chenle said his dog's name is "daegal", which is a slang for head / big head. and because of that, whenever he goes to the vet and the doctor calls their name like, "daegal, come in" he feels a bit embarrassed. but he just shrugs it off and he said we should be confident in making nicknames.
- when chenle is bored during his rest day, he will look for mark to invite him to play basketball together. but if it turns out mark is busy, he'll go to seventeen's jun to eat and play games together. or he'll go to seventeen's the8 (minghao) and drink tea, meditate, or take a walk together. or he'll eat malatang with jisung and invite him to play at his house together. one time, everyone was busy, so chenle found a good chinese restaurant and went there himself.

- chenle has watched the korean drama 'legend of the blue sea' and it might be his favorite drama. he finds it fun and romantic and he really likes it.

- op when out to buy clothes and accidentally saw someone they used to like. chenle told op to try to look pretty. he said that if they do this, even if op recognizes them, op won't feel awkward. chenle said he understands the feeling, and he's the same too. he adviced op to just wear whatever makes them comfortable.
- chenle advised a listener not to give up. if something hard happens, you have to work hard. if it's hard to do, it will make you tired. but when you feel like you don't want to do it anymore, think about the reason why you started doing it in the first place, and work hard again and never give up.

- kun said he released something but chenle didn't know, and kun went, "why won't you pay attention a little?" and kun said he even pays attention to nct dream's new contents and releases on the nct dream youtube channel. chenle said he doesn't even pay attention to that.
- chenle said he now sleeps earlier, which is at 3am maximum. kun said that's not early at all.

- chenle said you have to be nice to your family. you can't get mad at your family because they won't ever leave you. chenle said he's seen a lot of people who are nice to other people but not to their own family members. but he believes that we have to treat our family members nicely, take care of them, and consider their feelings too.

- chenle has a playlist that consists of songs he's been listening to recently. there are around 15 to 18 songs, and they're songs from japanese animation films, film background music, film soundtracks, etc. he said even if he mentions the details, we probably wouldn't know the songs, but the playlist also has nct dream's 'rainbow' in it.
- whenever chenle listens to 'rainbow', he has to wear earphones. earlier today in the car, his airpods ran out of battery so he borrowed his manager's earphones to listen to the song. the reason why he listens to the song is because the song is really healing, and every time he listens to it, he gets shivers. chenle said 'dear dream' and 'rainbow' has the same vibes, and the two songs are both his favorite songs out of all the other nct dream songs. whenever he listens to them, his heart feels warm and blue, sometimes sad, but sometimes happy too.

- kun asked how many pictures chenle has on his phone. chenle said that because this is a new phone, he was a little picky at choosing which pictures to move to the phone. kun said he usually just moves everything to his new phone.
- chenle never takes selfies. he only takes selfies whenever the manager asks him to post.
- both chenle and kun has pictures from 2014 on their phones. chenle's pictures are from august 2014. kun just realized he has pictures from 1970 in his phone and chenle went, "oh, you weren't already born in that year?"

- chenle showed kun a picture of his white board from middle school. there are notes from physics, math, and english. kun went, "are you too lazy to take notes and that's why you only take pictures?" but then chenle explained that the teachers erased the notes on the board really fast. he would always go, "omg that's so fast" so he just took pictures of the notes.
- chenle was also the math representative at school and he would get homework. because he needs to do well on his homework, he'd take pictures or record videos of the teacher explaining the materials in class.
- for chenle, the real happiness when cooking is when people try your food and they compliment your food / your cooking. chenle said it makes him feel like a genius.

- chenle just found out that all agencies turn off their air conditioner at 9pm every day. he said he understands the need to save electricity, but he thinks 9pm is too early.
- a listener said they want to sell their artwork but they're scared that no one will buy it. chenle encouraged them to be confident. chenle told op to send their art to tbs efm, and if he likes it, he'll buy it.
- a listener said they like the sentence "work hard play hard" but they said not to do things too hard. chenle then said you can't do "play too hard, work a little hard", it has to be 50/50 and balanced.
- chenle said that in their group chat, renjun likes to send funny stuff and funny videos but no one would respond. but sometimes jisung is nice and jisung would reply “ㅋㅋㅋㅋ"
- chenle once said he's the type to always reply to chats fast, but he's not good at texting in group chats. when people are talking, he just watches, and if there's something funny he'd react / reply, but if there isn't then he just doesn't say anything.

- since chenle started learning korean up until now, he has never memorized words. he finds it tiring and boring. he has only ever done it twice, the first time was when he had memory writing lessons when he just came to korea, and the second time was when kun made him do it. so he would just talk to people daily and if there's a word he doesn't know the meaning of, he'd ask, but he doesn't write it down. he believes that if he keeps asking, he'll eventually remember the meaning.
- chenle doesn't like watermelons, but he doesn't hate it either. chenle said his dad always prepares really good watermelon skin. lao zhang said watermelon is suitable for the summer but chenle thinks ice cream is better.
- chenle said the weather recently has made him really want to leave earth because it's too hot.
- chenle asked what month lao zhang was born in and he said october 20. chenle said that that means lao zhang is a libra, while chenle himself is a scorpio. then lao zhang said, "thank god you're not a capricorn." lao zhang said he used to have a crush on a girl in high school who was a capricorn and she hurt him so bad. but chenle said he likes capricorns and all the capricorn friends around him get along with him well.

- chenle's favorite dinosaur when he was little was the tyrannosaurus rex
- zhuama thought chenle knew all the 26 names of the dinosaurs from the "dino abc" song but chenle said he only knows his part of the song
- chenle's top 2 favorite dinosaurs are the tyrannosaurus rex and the triceratops
- chenle and zhua ma talked about why dinosaurs went extinct and chenle said that there's no valid / confirmed reason yet. some said it's because of a meteor, while others say it's because of geological changes. zhuama was impressed because chenle knows a lot about dinosaurs, meanwhile she had to look it up. chenle said his head is big for a reason.
- chenle said he measured his head and it was 58cm, but then it became 59cm. zhuama said that means chenle became smarter.
- zhuama said some parts of the movie was scary and chenle laughed at her because he didn't find any parts of it scary.
- when chenle was little, he bought a toy in which he had to dig dinosaur bones out from powder / sand and piece them together to make a dinosaur. he bought it from a museum in shanghai and he found it really fun, although he made a big mess because there was a lot of powder.

- when chenle was little, he had to sleep at 9pm and his mom would always confiscate his phone and keep it in her room. then at 2-3 in the morning, he'd sneak into his parents' room to get his phone back. but he tended to make noises so his mom would always wake up and ask, "what are you doing?" and he'd just answer, "i'm going to the toilet hehe". he suceedded only 2 times out of 10. he took his phone carefully, waited for a bit, and then put it back in the same position. he said it was thrilling but fun.

- when chenle is given a few choices, he usually thinks carefully and thoroughly about all the consequences of each choice.
- chenle also prepares himself for every possible consequence so when something super great or super bad happens, he doesn't react that much. he said that people will react, "YOU'RE DEAD INSIDE!"
- chenle said that no matter who it is, when he gets the news that someone is getting married, it makes him really happy
- chenle said that if he doesn't invite renjun to his wedding, renjun is going to grab a knife and chop him up. he added that renjun is the member with the most team spirit, and if he doesn't invite renjun to his wedding, it will affect renjun a lot. for haechan, jeno, and jaemin, they probably won't know chenle is getting married if he doesn't tell them. he said jisung is also okay. so to sum it up, he has to invite renjun to his wedding.

- chenle's favorite time at school is the free time because he can play games, chat with his friends, and play soccer and basketball together.
- when chenle was still in school, he used to always play basketball with his friends, and play pretend fight with his friends. when he's too lazy to go outside, he'll join the girls who are gossiping.
- chenle made a mistake when reading the script so he jokingly said "it's not that i don't want to continue, it's that pd jiejie fired me"
- chenle is bad at playing halli galli. if we play that game with him, we'll feel hurt because he'll keep hitting our hand. he also said that he's bad at jackstones while jeno is good at it.
- chenle said "you have to be happy. you have to really be happy. there will always be hard times, but if you always think positively like me, everything will be okay. so, please always live happily."
- someone recommended the movie 'coco' to him so he watched it, and he agreed that the movie is indeed touching, but he didn't cry.
- yesterday, chenle brought daegal to the radio. when he was in the elevator and was going down, the elevator door opened and there appeared 2 big, tall, muscly men. when those men saw daegal, they screamed. chenle said it was the funniest thing he experienced all year.

- chenle doesn't really believe in personality tests because whenever he takes them, the results that he gets are always nice. it's never "you're egotistic" or something like that, so it feels like they're lying to him. so if there are ones that give out some negative traits, it might be more believable for him.
- chenle really likes eating salty food, but eating them makes his face puffier so he's been lessening his salty food intake. when he eats sashimi, spinach, fried egg, or meat, he doesn't add salt or soy sauce now.
- someone sent a letter tonight and apparently this person is the mother of a girl whose letter got read by le-d once too. chenle said he really likes this feeling, and he said he will work harder.
- chenle said, "i haven't even done that many quiz episodes, but i'm already leaving soon", and lanlan went, " can you not be too sad at the beginning..."
- lanlan's first impression towards chenle was that he was really fair, quiet, and shy. then she said that all of those turned out to be a lie. chenle's defense was that he can't just act crazy to new people that he meets. lanlan also said that she thought chenle was shy because when they first met, chenle sat really far away from her. but it turns out it was because he was charging his phone.
- the first question for today's quiz is "how many programs have chenle done with lanlan, and what are their names?" and chenle kept mentioning program names but none of them are with lanlan.
- lanlan said when she called him by the wrong name when he just started doing radio, he was petty and chenle went, "how was i petty? if i was petty i would've quit."
- chenle's story that left an impression on lanlan is the story of when he went to a cafe in beijing and video called his members. lanlan thought that logically, at a cafe, someone would order coffee. but it turns out that chenle ordered milk, and that left an impression on lanlan. chenle said it was because he was young.
- for chenle, the segment that left the deepest impression on him was when they talked about harbin and winter weddings.

- during promotions, sometimes the members get really tired, so sometimes there are members who would fall asleep, and then snore really loud in his sleep, and the snoring sounds like thunder. chenle said he won't mention any names to protect everyone's image. when caoli jiejie asked if it was him, chenle said "of course not!"
- back then, chenle also had to study while attending schedules. his mom said he can't abandon his studies just because of work. so he'd work accoridng to the schedules, and during exam days he'd study for his exams. it was really tiring, but he had to do what he had to do. caoli asked if it was worth it and chenle said it was, because for him, "it didn’t matter how tiring practicing and rehearsal gets. standing on stage, especially during a concert, is pure happiness." - chenle said time flies by really fast and it has been almost a year. he added that schedules are usually hard / tiring but akdong seoul has always been a fun schedule for him because of all the fun letters and messages. he also thinks akdong seoul is a healing schedule for him because he gets to talk a lot here, and he's the type of person who likes talking a lot.
- chenle slept and rested all day and just woke up, ate, and went straight to radio.
- chenle himself still isn't used to the idea of him leaving because he just feels like he'll come back here next monday. he really can't feel that today is his last day.
- a mom fan sent a letter and chenle wished happiness for her, her husband, and their family. he said the most important thing is happiness.
- other than lai lai who is being the guest dj today, zhuama and guozhen also came for le-d's last day. guozhen also brought his dog, maliya, and chenle also brought daegal.

- chenle feels very fortunate to have been given the chance to do akdong seoul because the staffs are all kind and accepting of him, and it doesn't feel like work, it just feels like talking to friends for a few hours 2-3 times a week. he said there's no pressure and he genuinely listens to all the stories and letters.
- chenle said that even though he's the one who gives listeners advices on 'our little tree hole', he also learned a lot of moral-related things from the listeners because he usually doesn't think about those stuff, but the stories listeners send about what they're going through make him think about those situations and what he would do if he was faced with the same problem, and so he learns from those too.
- chenle asked if guozhen and zhuama can come into the studio too and they did! he then asked if caoli jiejie and pd jiejie can also join them in the sudio.
- lailai pronounced "yuedong seoul" as "ledong seoul" (乐 can be read as both "yue" and "le"), and then chenle said that when he first heard yuedong seoul he thought, "whoa isn't this program meant for me?"
- for chenle, doing radio was always joyful. during promotions, he feels dead when he's on his way for his radio schedule but once he's in the studio and talking with the guest djs, he'd suddenly feel alive again.
- chenle doesn't have any big regrets when it comes to akdong seoul. he only has small regrets like how he can't talk about more movies (moonlight cinema), or talk about more travel destinations (listening to the world), etc.

- chenle is really thankful for all the guests who helped him a lot. he said he ones who helped him most are pd jiejie and caoli jiejie because during broadcasts there is no laugh audience who will react to him. pd jiejie and caoli jiejie always laugh when he's goofing around, and that makes him motivated to continue making them laugh and keep going.

- caoli jiejie still remembers the first day chenle did his first live broadcast as special dj (filling in for renjun). caoli told pd jiejie that chenle was not nervous at all. chenle said it was because the guests gave him a relaxed feeling and pd jiejie and caoli jiejie didn't look fierce so he had a feeling that even if he made a mistake, they wouldn't be mad at him.
- chenle said seoul is his second home while shanghai is his first home. he said his third home is changsha because he lived there for 4 months. he said the tiny lobster / crayfish there is really nice.
- chenle admitted that he still feels like he still has to come to radio next week and if he doesn't come it's going to feel like something's missing. he said he really likes this program because he can say his opinions and there will always be someone who will listen to him (he said it's because it's their job to do so). so caoli jiejie asked what he's going to do when he wants to voice out his opinions next time? and chenle said, "i'll just call caoli jiejie"

- laozhang said he saw twice perform at his university a few years ago, and said it was around 2013-2014. chenle said "but twice debuted in 2014 though?" (twice debuted in 2015)
- when chenle first came to korea, he went to some of his sunbaes' concerts, one of which was an exo concert, and he said the atmosphere there was really great and it was really enjoyable.
- chenle said that once the pandemic ends, he will invite chuyuan to a concert
- chenle said mark loves learning chinese so he'd always go (in chinese) "everyone everyone quiet quiet don’t worry don’t worry" because that's all he knows. he would always go up to chenle and go, "i'm good at chinese, right?" and he'd feel so cool. chenle said mark always learns chinese from him every day and asks chenle for words in chinese but then forgets the next day.
- chenle has never brought out kids before. he wonders if one day he brings his nephew out and people thinks he's his nephew's dad.
